Due to internal development we have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Risk Analyst to join Nottingham Building Society in a 2nd line role, supporting our Risk Management team with effective oversight of principal risks, keeping our business safe!


We are looking for someone with experience of PRA or FCA regulated businesses who will develop brilliant stakeholder relationships and promote a constructive risk culture across the business. You will have the opportunity to help shape processes and use data and trend analysis to develop crucial insight for the business.


Our Risk team keep our Society safe from risk, you will have experience writing reports and policies alongside understanding and manipulating data into meaningful information to be shared with the relevant teams. This role would be great for a self-starter, with the ability to use their initiative to drive new approaches to tackling risks, bringing new thinking and ideas to the table.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing: -


  • Support the day-to-day implementation of the Risk Management Framework and adoption of the Boards Risk Appetite across the business, being a positive role model for the risk team.
  • Develop/enhance relevant MI and data to monitor key risks, feeding back via the relevant stakeholders and governance committees if there are significant changes that need to be looked into.
  • Develop, write, and help implement relevant governance policies in collaboration with the first line team ensuring our lines of defence are robust!
  • Be curious and actively contribute and deliver improvements to internal Risk processes.
  • Contribute to our learning culture through continuous personal development within your role. Ask questions, be curious and seek opportunities to learn more and build on your knowledge and experience.


About you: -


  • You will have previous experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of Regulatory Risk requirements.
  • An understanding of governance and control frameworks is essential, including their construction and deployment. Experience of this within Financial services would be desirable.
  • You will be well organised, methodical and accurate with an eye for detail.
  • A strong relationship builder, this role requires confident communication across all levels and functions of the business, so you will need to be not afraid to get stuck in and ask questions.
