Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5.
• Inspire and encourage students to develop confidence and proficiency in both literature and language.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate a diverse range of learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold QTS, a PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, student-centred lessons.
• Possess strong classroom management skills and set high expectations for all students.
• Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
