Engineering Manager (Java C# TDD) Cheshire onsite to £180k+
Are you a technologist Engineering Manager with a software development background and strong leadership skills?
You could be joining a highly successful and scaling Cyber Security technology company that has just received an additional £20 million investment.
As an Engineering Manager you will manage three, small product focussed teams; leading delivery, taking ownership of planning, resourcing, sizing and timelines, managing team structure and hiring to match evolving requirements. You'll drive technical scoping, shape solutions and align on feasibility, remove blockers and obstacles and run meaningful Agile ceremonies that add value. You will act as a "sounding board" for software engineers and provide coaching, ensuring a positive, diverse and professional team culture.
You will promote continuous improvements in processes, tooling and communication, collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX, QA and other business stakeholders across the business in an impactful role.

- You have previous experience as a software engineer (ideally with Java or C# experience) and a strong knowledge of modern cloud based software engineering
- You have a keen eye for identifying risks and waste and move fast to resolve them
- You are delivery focussed and can keep engineers focussed and unblocked, bringing clarity and structure
- You have experience of driving continuous improvements, upskilling engineers and healthy team culture
- You are collaborative and pragmatic
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- You are degree educated in a technical discipline
