What You’ll Do
We are at the forefront of ensuring safety, compliance and sustainability across our operations in the UK and EMEA.In this role you will play a significant part in shaping and maintaining our integrated management systems and ensuring all policies and procedures are complaint with the current legislation and standards.You will also provide support and guidance to EMEA and UK locations in terms of EHS regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and industry EHS best-practice.Here are more details:
EMEA IMS (QEHS/BC) SUPPORT
- Assist our EMEA locations to align with global and regional management systems to ensure maintenance of the Global management system approval certificates (for Quality ISO9001, Environmental ISO14001, Business Continuity ISO22301 and Occupational Health and Safety ISO45001)
- Develop and maintain management system processes and procedures (in particular, safety) along with developing training programs for each area to improve safety results
- Develop and promote the implementation of OHS Standards (Global, EMEA, Local)
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary risk assessments and manage overall procedure
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the EMEA internal audit program (for QEHS/BC)
- Develop, monitor and audit processes to eliminate accidents and improve the reporting of Near-Misses, including corrective actions, and actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure that relevant legislation and corporate policies are introduced into company systems and that the company operates in compliance with them
- Monitor emerging, new and revised legislation to assess its impact on the business and liaise with statutory bodies as appropriate
- Monitor the suitability of the investigations undertaken of specific accidents and incidents and make recommendations for improvement where necessary
- Support in the generation of QEHS statistics in accordance with L+G reporting requirements
- Co-ordinate the implementation of the management system requirements (Global, EMEA, Local) within the Landis+Gyr UK Locations
- Review and implement Environmental, Health and Safety legislation, requirements and best practice
- Support the provision of robust IMS (Safety, Health, Environmental) processes, policies, procedures to ensure legislative and management systems requirements are achieved, improved and maintained
- Provide advice to ensure the company’s integrated management system remains current with legislation and our certification requirements for ISO 9001/14001/45001/22301
- Maintain up to date knowledge of HSE requirements and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly and in partnership with key stakeholders (interfacing with Facilities management as required)
- Provide guidance to Functions ensuring UK processes are in line with corporate requirements (including the maintenance of UK Process House using iGrafx)
- Deliver the yearly audit plan and coordinate regular reviews, assessments and audits of the Landis+Gyr integrated management system, including those by external certification bodies
- Co-ordinate improvement action programmes resulting from the review and audit processes
- Provide inputs to monthly UK management reports giving performance overview against KPIs
- Co-ordinate activities to ensure Business Continuity Management System (ISO22301) implementation and application
- Lead co-ordination of UK SOFI (Environmental data) Reporting - including identification and implementation of improvement opportunities (e.g. automated reporting, data collection efficiency, standardised reporting/estimating methodologies)
- Undertaking regulatory environmental reporting (including; WEEE & packaging reporting)
- Work with the EMEA cyber security team to improve the cyber security approach and controls increasingly demanded by our customers including; capturing the cyber security processes within the management system and review of the implementation of cyber security plans and controls
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- IOSH Membership
- An experienced SHEQ professional with a track record of working in a manufacturing environment
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001 and 22301 standards knowledge
- Cybersecurity management knowledge
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint
