G4S Facilities Management is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (Electrician) for a permanent, full-time role in Oxford. Responsibilities
- Deliver crucial planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to a variety of electrical systems, as well as mechanical, and security equipment and services across the hospital site.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on all electrical support systems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations.
- Carry out installations, inspections, and testing to the highest standards, adhering to strict hospital safety protocols, current regulations, and detailed drawings/manuals.

- Maintain and inspect various assets, including internal/external fixtures and fittings, grounds, and access areas.
- Utilise computerised Facilities Management (FM) and Building Management Systems (BMS) for effective control, fault diagnosis, and record-keeping.
- Assist in the development of maintenance routines and procedures, preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.
- Work collaboratively within a team, potentially assisting in the training and development of other maintenance staff and undertaking some multi-trade M&E tasks as required.
- Participate in a rostered on-call system and be available for overtime as needed to support the hospital's critical functions.
- Detailed knowledge of installed building engineering services.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or C&G 2360 or equivalent, meeting JIB Gold Card criteria).
- Current BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification & LVCP (Low Voltage Competent Person) Appointment.
- Electrical Isolation and Safety understanding.
- An enthusiastic, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong understanding of electrical isolation, safety procedures, and health & safety rules, especially pertinent to live hospital settings
