The Electrical Estimating Assistant is responsible for creating remedial quotes based on Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), engineer surveys, follow on works and any other Electrical documentation/certification.
You will be based 5 days a week from our fabulous Electrical office in Preston.

As an Electrical Estimating Assistant you will accurately price the repair work required to ensure the property complies with current regulations, supporting the company’s commitment to safety and compliance.

What will you be doing?
As an Electrical Estimating Assistant you will accurately price the repair work required to ensure the property complies with current regulations, supporting the company’s commitment to safety and compliance.
You’ll be a key member of our team and your responsibilities will include (but not limited to);
- Review EICRs to identify faults, defects, or non-compliance issues.
- Assist in the preparation detailed and accurate remedial work quotations based on the scope of repairs highlighted in EICRs.
- Prepare detailed quotes for internal and external EICR’s, Emergency Lighting (EML), Install and follow on works.
- Estimate labour, materials, and additional costs associated with repair work.
- Liaise with engineers to clarify the scope of work and verify site conditions if required.
- Maintain accurate records of quotes and updates in the company’s database.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for pricing, reporting, and customer interactions.
- A minimum standard starting salary of £25,000 depending on experience

You don’t need heaps of experience to join the team as an Electrical Estimating Assistant just the right attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do.
- Ideally, experience in electrical works on site
- Able to work effectively with a variety of key stakeholders at different levels
- Good knowledge of BS 7671 regulations
- Proven experience in, or knowledge of estimating
- Ability to work alone and as part of the wider team effectively, to achieve targets
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy
