Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and able to engage in learning.
- Assist teachers in the classroom with preparing materials and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging social interaction and personal development.
- Monitor and record students’ progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
- Support students in developing their independence and life skills both in and out of the classroom.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with a range of needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A supportive and collaborative working environment.
