About the role:

The Ecommerce Strategy Management Manager collaborates with departments across Ocado Retail, Logistics and Operations to deliver Ocado’s sales and profit objectives.This key role is responsible for developing customer demand forecasts, optimising trading plans and identifying new revenue opportunities. What You'll Do:

  • Develop Sales Forecasts: Support the creation of our short, medium, and long-term sales forecasts for ocado.com, producing scenario plans based on customer behaviour and key internal/external factors.
  • Align Commercial Plans: Communicate sales ambitions to stakeholders and peers, coordinating marketing, merchandising, and trading plans to meet weekly revenue targets.
  • Manage Seasonal Trading: Ensure we successfully navigate key seasonal periods, such as Easter, Summer, and Christmas, to meet customer demand and business goals.
  • Analyse and Optimise Performance: Create detailed analyses, reports, and research to track KPI performance effectively, providing clear recommendations to optimise trade revenue.
  • Drive Profitable Growth with Operations: Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams to identify and optimise revenue opportunities across capacity, customer experience, and demand efficiency.
  • Enhance Site Conversion: Work with various teams to improve site traffic conversion to order placement through initiatives like slot availability trials, analysis of capacity utilisation, and refining our approach to geographical demand forecasting.
  • Improve Reporting Capabilities: Scope and suggest improvements to reporting, such as basket size prediction, to help ensure sales targets are achieved by effectively managing daily slot availability.

  • Data-Informed Decision Maker: You can use insights and data to make sound commercial decisions that also optimise the customer experience.

  • Adaptable and Responsive: You can adapt to changing customer demands and react effectively to trading priorities.
  • Curious about Customer Behaviour: You have a genuine interest in understanding customer behaviour and motivations.
  • Proactive and Self-Directed: You are capable of managing your own workload and taking initiative.
