The Early Years Team are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and committed Early Years Quality Improvement Officer to join our innovative and highly motivated team.
The role involves the development and delivery of training and supporting all early years settings in improving the quality of provision in order to raise achievement and provide good outcomes for the children of Bromley.
Based in the Central Library Bromley, you will be required to provide a responsive and targeted service to early years providers across the Borough. We offer flexible working hours across the week with occasional evening and Saturday work to ensure we meet the needs of the settings.
Applicants must have at least a recognised full and relevant level 4 early years and childcare qualification with significant and varied early years experience, working, and managing within a range of Early Years Private, Independent and Voluntary (PVI) settings. A qualification in teaching in the lifelong learning sector would also be desirable with significant training experience or willing to attend training. A thorough knowledge and understanding of current issues within early years is a must for this post.
This role requires varied experiences of working with and supporting the development of children from 0 – 5 years of age, from a range of Early Years settings, including Pre-schools, Day Nurseries and Childminders.
The role includes the design and delivery of training, which will be a mix of online and face to face training, so experience in delivering high quality training is a requirement, along with sound ICT skills.
Please note that this is a permanent post, for three days per week (21.6 hours). The role is for three days per week, all year, and the salary will be paid pro-rata of the full time equivalent.
Please note that interviews will be held in the Bromley Civic Centre on Wednesday 29th January 2025. There will be both a candidate presentation, panel interview, and an ‘in tray’ task.
Full time salary range: £34,975 - £36,867
Pro-rata salary range for 21.6 hours: £20,985 - £22,120.20
Note to candidates, this role is for three days per week only, year-round. The salary will be paid pro rata of the full time equivalent.
