We are seeking to recruit a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Worker to join the Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS) in South West Hertfordshire. We have one role based in Hemel Hempstead and one role based in Watford

You must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

The Successful Candidate Will

  • work with care co-ordinators and 35 - 40 service users, depending on complexity and other responsibilities
  • carry out drug and alcohol misuse assessment including assessment of personal strengths and recovery capital, and risks
  • develop recovery plans using a person-centred approach to develop, implement and evaluate needs and strengths-based care plans and risk management plans in partnership with service users, carers and other professionals
  • provide Individual brief assessment one-to-one and group interventions
