Driver

Are you an experienced Class 2 driver with a passion for delivering exceptional service? We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team at our Waste Treatment Plant in Cambridge operating our RoRo vehicles.

Attractive Working Hours & Salary

• Saturday- Wednesday - 45 hours per week
• 5.30 – 15.30 (with a 1 hour break)
• Competitive annual salary of £39,454.46
• RoRo driver across our Household Waste Recycling Centres
  
  

What is the purpose of this role?

• Drive a RoRo to collect and deliver waste or recycled products
• To complete daily checks on vehicles, logging faults on a database system & reporting defects to Vehicle Workshop.
• Emptying commercial bins on a scheduled route
• Operate a variety of vehicles, perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance
• Completing maintenance checks on various pieces of Plant Equipment., through a digital tablet Maintenance Management System & carrying out the work to which they are allocated to the required standards, including avoiding risks to the environment.
• Working at all times in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe working methods, taking into account site hazards on the day, and using the appropriate supplied safety clothing
• Reporting of all incidents, close calls, any unsafe acts or unsafe situations seen on site to Line Manager
• Comply with safe working methods and wear appropriate safety clothing
• Represent a professional image to customers and other road users
