Job Purpose

The Drawing & Design Support Co-ordinator is responsible for undertaking site survey’s and audits of Medical Gas Pipeline Services (MGPS) and equipment. The facilities layout drawings should be labelled and marked up suitable for accurate and detailed as-fitted drawings to be produced by either themselves or the back office sales support/design services team.

Compliance and risk audits shall also be produced on both the MGPS and the medical gas equipment. Reports shall be produced using our bespoke cloud based asset management platform, MyMedGas.

The role will include visiting both our existing and new hospital clients on a nationwide basis. This will range from multiple days on site at acute hospital’s - to day visits at private hospitals community hospitals, hospices, veterinary hospitals, etc.

The desired applicant should have a methodical mindset with an understanding of pipe work networks, control equipment and rotating equipment such as air compressors or vacuum pumps.

We require someone experienced in reviewing or producing planned layout drawings in CAD format. 3D Revit software is used to produce each drawing, so the ability to use this would be an advantage, but not a requirement as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against company set goals
  • Grow sales revenue for drawing and design services
  • Provide detailed quotations
  • Promote drawing services both out in the field and through social media, mailshots etc
  • Conduct site survey’s of medical gas pipeline systems (MGPS) and equipment
  • Provide compliance or risk audits with the existing MGPS
  • Generate sales leads to installation and service teams for equipment replacement and maintenance
  • Update and add asset information to cloud asset management platform MyMedGas
  • HTM02-01 Proposal design drawings (pre-install)
  • BIM Coordination (piped medical gases)
  • Produce commercial offers for drawing and design service works
  • Produce MGPS design, flow rate and pressure drop reviews to determine existing system capacity
  • Mark up or produce drawings to include:
    • As-fitted plans, as-fitted isometrics, as-fitted schematics
  • Valve Identification labelling (up to source equipment main valve) Ongoing drawing updates (contract)
  • Flexible and adaptive approach to our changing business landscape
