Equans is looking for a Divisional Financial Performance & Analysis Manager to join our team in Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role, on offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

General Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FP&A Manager to oversee our financial reporting processes, within the Places and Communities Division of Equans UK. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting (including assistance on technical accounting queries when required) and will play a critical role in providing insights that support business performance. This is a key position that is a crucial source of support for regional business units and also offers significant influence and direct engagement with senior management.

What will you deliver?

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the reporting team and the long-term development of team members including setting annual performance objectives and setting out career development plans.
  • Production of meaningful and timely executive level analysis of monthly business performance for delivery to Exec members and group reporting functions. Extensive variance analysis to be provided to multiple stakeholders.
  • Responsible for month-end reporting of Divisional Flash results, including reconciling systems and coordinating the various finance business partners across UK divisions.
  • Supporting the P&C Division’s annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting. This includes collecting data and presenting it, developing meaningful analysis, supporting the review and challenge of forecasts.
  • Responsibility for managing actual and forecasting entries into Divisional Adjustments, ensuring provision and contingency schedules are correct and up to date, this will involve presenting to exec team members.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and Equans UK financial reporting standards.
  • Development and analysis of controlling working capital reporting. Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and technical accounting compliance / queries.

Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the company orderbook and backlog position.

Deputise for the Senior Divisional FP&A Manager as and when required.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA – first time passes advantageous
  • 3+years PQE and ideally experience at a top 10 audit firm

Experience and Systems:

  • Strong IT skills with advanced working knowledge of Excel are essential.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, BPC, E-Vision, Tagetik, SAP, Power BI, and SSRS systems is preferable.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP)
  • Experience in large, complex organisations with multi-divisions would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferrable but not essential.
