Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For
- Work closely with students with disabilities, providing support with daily school activities.
- Follow individual care plans and lesson plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of the students.
- Create an inclusive and respectful environment that encourages independence and dignity.
- Team up with teachers and staff to provide complete, well-rounded support.
- Keep clear and detailed records of students' progress and activities.
- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker or similar role is helpful.
- Knowledge of different disabilities and how to support them effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and patience when helping students with various needs.
- Ability to adjust to the changing needs of individuals with disabilities.
To work with GSL Education as Disability Support Worker, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
- Work in a collaborative and supportive team that values your contributions.
- Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Gain valuable experience working in different educational settings and with a variety of students.
- Continuous support from a dedicated consultant.
