Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) is a globally renowned centre of excellence specialising in the care of children and young people with highly complex and rare conditions Employing c.5,000 staff, we deliver the UK’s widest range of children’s paediatric specialities from its central London site.
The Finance team takes great pride in its work, strives for excellence in all it does, and has been awarded 'Finance Team of the Year 2023' at the HFMA London Awards. With a recently appointed new senior finance leadership team, GOSH is seeking to create and shape a finance team that is fit for the future, providing the best possible support to operational and clinical colleagues who make a huge difference our patients' lives.
This is a replacement role that will be responsible for leading the entire Great Ormond Street Hospital Procurement agenda, working with Board, Executive and Senior Leadership teams to ensure that it operates within public sector policy, the NHS legal framework and the new Procurement Act 2023 to successfully achieve its objectives. This shall include the delivery of demonstrable and incremental cash releasing savings, which will form part of the cost improvement/’Better Value’ plans of the Trust and clinical and corporate directorates.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of demonstrable and incremental cash releasing savings, which will form part of the cost improvement/'Better Value' plans of the Trust .
Candidates should demonstrate a depth of leadership and transformation in Procurement, Purchasing, Legal, Supply Chain, Digital and Transformation environments. They will bring experience in advanced negotiation with a thorough understanding of the rules that govern EU Public Procurement.
