Gale is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Trainer to join our Academic Outreach and Engagement team. As a Digital Product Trainer for Europe, you will have a crucial role in enhancing sales retention through exceptional product training and engagement support. Your focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting effective utilization of digital products.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with world-class products and collaborate with a team that demonstrates strong work behaviours to successfully implement training strategies. Your main responsibility will be to drive product usage across Gale's European customers by providing implementation and onboarding support, as well as delivering onsite and remote training for academics, librarians, students, and Gale sales staff. By doing so, you will help our customers unlock the full potential of our digital product portfolio.
To excel in this role, you will need to cultivate and maintain extensive product knowledge across our entire academic product portfolio. You will provide both pre- and post-sale digital training and engagement support, ensuring that our customers' curriculum needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Academic Engagement, the Gale EMEA Sales Team, and the Product and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies that increase sales, product activation, and customer retention.

Responsibilities Of The Digital Product Trainer - Europe Role
- Cultivate and maintain extensive product knowledge to effectively demonstrate products across the entire academic product portfolio
- Provide digital training and product engagement support for customers in both pre- and post-sales efforts, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Plan and deliver customer implementation and training sessions both onsite and remotely
- Provide direct post-sale digital product implementation support, ensuring a deep understanding of customers' curriculum needs
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Academic Engagement and Salesforce regarding customer work
- Monitor customer success on a monthly basis and develop action plans to retain customers and increase product usage
- Coordinate with sales representatives and others to ensure strategic adoption of Gale resources at accounts
- Provide feedback to Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to improve customer experience and identify market trends
- Minimum requirement of a graduate degree or above, and equivalent proven experience will also be considered.
- 3 or more years of successful direct sales, higher education, customer success, marketing, or training experience
- Knowledge or experience in the Library Sciences/ information services industry
- Strong training and presentation skills, including substantial public speaking experience
- Demonstrated understanding of computer-based technology
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, able to communicate clearly in virtual and in-person settings
- Strong customer orientation and ability to build effective customer relationships
- Sophisticated knowledge of MS Office Suite and web proficiency
- Flexibility to travel throughout Europe, with occasional travel outside the territory for conferences
- In addition to English the ability to communicate in one or more European languages would be advantageous.
