Job Summary
The role of the Digital Marketing Executive is to support the marketing team in the delivery of the digital marketing plan and its associated targets.
The digital marketing plan supports a wide variety of services offered by Logistics UK and spans multiple digital marketing channels, including paid search, email, SMS, SEO, paid social, CRO and more. This type of role will suit a candidate who has had exposure to digital marketing and is looking to take their career to the next level.
In the role, the digital marketing executive will be hands on with the implementation and management of the digital marketing plan and will possess a thorough understanding of reporting on the effectiveness of the plan, coupled with creativity and enthusiasm to bring new ideas into the marketing team.
Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Executive, with support from the Digital Marketing Manager, will carry out the following responsibilities in addition to ad-hoc responsibilities that arise as part of an evolving digital marketing plan:
- Create, implement, track, analyse and optimise paid multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
- Building campaigns (across email, search, display, PPC, social media) that will increase brand awareness and generate new leads and sales.
- Regular weekly reporting of digital marketing campaigns and their performance against targets. You will be using a variety of reporting tools such as Google Analytics to facilitate reporting.
- Regular optimisation of digital marketing campaigns, using reporting and trends to spot opportunities to generate the best possible results from digital marketing campaigns.
- Researching the marketing activity of competitor and similar organisations, as well as researching the latest digital marketing technology and trends, to identify new opportunities to test and trial within the Digital Marketing plan.
- Ongoing management, optimisation, and creation of paid search campaigns for Logistics UK’s wide range of services. You will be operating in advertising interfaces such as Google and Bing to manage campaigns.
- Assisting in the delivery our SEO strategy by focusing on optimisation and content creation for key landing pages as identified in the digital marketing plan.
- With our email marketing platform, you will support the wider marketing team with the creation of visually rich and engaging email marketing campaigns for Logistics UK’s wide variety of services. In addition to the creation of email campaigns, you will also be hands on with the creation of tailored customer segments, powered by our CRM platform, to match the right email campaign with the right audience.
- You will support and assist the digital marketing manager to create user journeys for key landing pages and opportunities to improve conversion.
- With support of the digital marketing manager and social media manager you will be responsible for the creation and management of paid social media campaigns to run across the main social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Requirements
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Creative flair and passion for great marketing.
- Experience in digital marketing, whether this is a multi-channel or a specialist channel such as email marketing, SEO etc.
- Previous use of digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ad Manager or similar for the creation, monitoring, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar platforms for marketing reporting.
- Previous use of CMS platforms.
- A thorough understanding of reporting, metrics and measurement of digital marketing campaigns and using reports to track progress, achieve targets, manage, and optimise campaigns.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent marketing qualification.
- Understanding of logistics, retail or manufacturing industries would be helpful.
- Understanding of membership organisation.
