We’re looking for a talented Digital Executive to help us maintain and grow our digital presence while supporting our customers’ needs.
At Affinity Water, we’re immensely proud of our brand, purpose, and how we communicate with our customers. We regularly engage with them across various key channels, including our website, bills, emails, letters, leaflets, and SMS.
As a Digital Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and administration of Affinity Water’s website, ensuring it remains functional, informative, and customer-focused. You will play a key role in creating and scheduling content, supporting digital projects, and ensuring that the website complies with regulatory requirements and accessibility standards. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of mobile-first digital content that aligns with our brand ambition and engages our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Management: Support the day-to-day activity of the website, including content uploads, new pages, and website optimisation.
- Content Planning: Ensure website content is planned, scheduled, created, and uploaded within agreed timelines.
- Website Improvement Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing website improvement strategies and project plans, focusing on improving customer engagement.
- SEO & Analytics: Research and implement SEO best practices, monitor website performance, and provide regular performance reports with actionable insights.
- User Experience: Support website user journey improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Web Projects: Manage and support website projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and partner agencies to implement changes in website architecture and functionality.
- Content Testing: Conduct A/B and multivariate testing, analyse results, and recommend improvements to meet business objectives.
- Crisis Communication: Participate in the reactive crisis communications team on a rota basis, being on standby for water supply incidents and other emergencies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with website content management and familiarity with HTML and web development.
- Analytics: Deep understanding of website analytics and tracking technologies. Experience in creating and interpreting performance reports.
- CMS Knowledge: Strong experience with content management systems (CMS), and a keen understanding of website accessibility standards and regulatory compliance.
- SEO Expertise: Knowledge of SEO best practices, with an ability to adapt to algorithm changes and optimize content for search engines.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise effectively.
- Creativity & Strategy: A strategic thinker who can bring fresh ideas and translate them into action. Editorial mindset with exceptional writing and editing skills.
Benefits
- Salary: £30-32,000 plus Standby payment of £2,687 per annum
- Hybrid role, with the expectations of a minimum two days a week in the office (Hatfield)
