Primark is an international clothing retailer employing more than 70,000 colleagues across 16 countries in Europe and the US. Founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, Primark aims to create maximum joy at minimum cost – less money and less impact on the planet. Primark continues to expand across new and existing markets with the aim of reaching 530 stores by the end of 2026. Every person impacts the culture at Primark. Our values: Caring (we always strive to put people first), Dynamic (we bravely push the boundaries to stay ahead) and Together (we learn more, laugh more and achieve more as a team) outline the behaviours we expect of our people as we work with each other, our customers, our suppliers and our partners. Let’s see what impact you can make

We’re looking for a talented Digital Artworker to join our Digital Design team. This role will be pivotal in maintaining a strong, consistent brand look and feel across our digital platforms. You’ll help bring creative ideas to life through the production of high-quality digital artwork, supporting the delivery of engaging content that enhances the customer experience and elevates our online presence across 17 regional sites in 14 different languages

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create assets for Primark.com across 17 regions and 14 languages, supporting the Design Lead, design team, and wider content team from concept through to final execution.
  • Translate campaign imagery into engaging digital assets (including artworking, cropping, GIFs, and typography overlays).
  • Create dynamic content using User Generated Content, incorporating trending and viral moments.
  • Ensure all assets adhere to brand guidelines and toolkits, whilst contributing to the evolution of the brand’s digital aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with wider Brand and Marketing teams to ensure creative alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Confidently propose new creative ideas, content formats, and workflow improvements.
  • Leverage AI tools and software to streamline design workflows, enhance productivity, and explore new creative possibilities.
  • Maintain and organise digital assets using our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Consistently meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Degree in Art and Design, Graphic Design or similar field.
  • Proven experience as a digital artworker or similar creative production role.
  • Strong, proven skillset in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong artworking skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident working within brand guidelines and contributing to their development.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Skilled in working with Digital Asset Management systems.
  • Understanding of content trends, especially across social and editorial channels.
  • Knowledge of retail trends, with a strong understanding of trade-first priorities and the ability to make data-informed design decisions.

Desirable:

  • Passion for culture, media, and the arts – with an eye for emerging trends that can inform digital content.
  • Experience with motion and video editing tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience within CMS systems.
  • Experience or interest in using AI-powered design tools (such as Firefly, Midjourney, or Adobe Sensei) to enhance workflow efficiency and creative output.

Personal Attributes:

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Creative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – a collaborative team player with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality across all outputs.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Operates with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Curious and culturally aware, always looking to innovate and stay ahead of trends.
  • Effective presentation skills, with the ability to present comprehensively to stakeholders.
