Position Description
Position Summary
The Dietician meets with students that have eating or nutritional problems to help them develop better diets, providing ongoing nutritional counseling as needed.
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist certification (RDN).
Education Preferred Experience Required
Minimum of one year of experience working with eating and nutritional problems including a particular focus on eating disorders.

- Strong skills in nutritional counseling and developmental psychology
- Understands the nature of eating disorders and how to work with such patients

Essential Employee N/A Primary Duties
- Provide nutritional counseling to students, focusing on adequacy of diets and eating disorders.
- Interact and consult with Counseling and Health Services professional staff, the Department of Athletics, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Dining Services regarding the treatment of students.
- Act as a resource/liaison for students with allergies/special diet needs and dining services. Create special diets for students with allergies.
- Support dining operations with menu ideas and allergy updates.
- Participate in health education programming.
- Provide consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
