Responsibilities:
HYBRID WORKING 2-3 DAYS AT THE OFFICE IN LONDON
- Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines, data models, and ETL/ELT processes in Snowflake to support asset management operations.
- Integrate large-scale financial data from various internal systems and third-party sources (including Aladdin, where applicable) into Snowflake.
- Implement best practices for data modelling (star schema, snowflake schema) to ensure efficient query performance and reporting.
- Optimise Snowflake queries, partitioning, clustering, and storage strategies for large datasets commonly used in asset management.
- Implement data security best practices, including access controls, roles, and permissions, in line with financial services regulations.
- Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer in a financial services or asset management environment.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake SQL, data modelling, and performance tuning.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from various sources (e.g. SQL databases, APIs, flat files).
- Familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin and its data structure is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of financial/investment data and asset management reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance standards in financial services.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise data processes for scalability and efficiency.
