Sketchely School are looking to recruit an Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our SLT team, working across our three sites:

  • Sketchley Hall, Burbage.
  • Progression House, Hinckley.
  • Forest House, Narborough..

The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have Experience Of Safeguarding And Supporting Young People And Their Families Within SEN, Along With The Following Characteristics

  • Resilience We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
  • Communication Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Organisation You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
  • Caring Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
  • Attentive No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital
