We are currently recruiting for a Design Quality Engineer, to collaborate with research and development plus product support for Advanced Wound Management (AWM).

This is a fantastic opportunity to help maintain a compliant product portfolio and maintaining design compliance. Getting involved with testing strategies, verification, validation and review stages post launch of our New Product Development (NPD) portfolio. We do this by taking ownership of the design history, risk and all auditable documents to provide guidance and compliance within the NPD process.

By ensuring each process accurately meets the required criteria and quality standards allows our customers to continually receive a device and product that will help make a real difference to their lives.

What will you be doing?

Design Quality Activities:

  • Ensuring compliance with design control and change activities.
  • Reviewing and approving Design History Files and quality documentation.
  • Collaborating with NPD and engineering teams for verification and validation.
  • Supporting Operations and QA teams for design transfer to manufacturing.
  • Assisting in test methods, equipment acquisition, and statistical analysis.
  • Participating in creating and approving design inputs.
  • Reviewing and approving specifications for materials and products.


Risk Management Activities:

  • Maintaining Risk Management Files in line with design and change control.
  • Contributing to Health Hazard Evaluations and risk control activities.
  • Preparing and analysing information for the Safety and Efficacy Review Board.
  • Ensuring user instructions accurately reflect product risks.
  • Providing guidance on product risk management.


Process and Procedure Development:

  • Reviewing and improving Standard Operating Procedures and Ways of Working.
  • Developing and maintaining processes for safe, effective, and high-quality medical devices.


What will you need to be successful?

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be degree trained in Engineering or a relevant scientific field. You'll also have experience in a similar Product Development/Quality Engineering role within Medical Devices or other highly regulated industry.
