Help tackle crime through environmental design!
As a Design Out Crime Officer for Leicestershire Police you will work closely with local authorities, architects and building developers providing specialist advice and guidance on achieving long term, sustainable solutions to crime and disorder problems through environmental design.

As a Design Out Crime Officer for Leicestershire Police you will work closely with local authorities, architects and building developers providing specialist advice and guidance on achieving long term, sustainable solutions to crime and disorder problems through environmental design.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing specialist advice on the security, design and refurbishment of developments to minimise crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour
- Influencing local authority planning departments to prioritise the principles of reducing crime
- Reviewing and giving feedback on planning applications to identify areas of risk
- Educated to Degree level in any subject or have experience of working at that level
- Have knowledge of evidence-based crime prevention strategies and techniques
- Experience working with internal and external partners
