About The Role
As Design Manager, you will lead the design process on-site, ensuring the highest standards in technical delivery, buildability, and compliance. You'll engage directly with designers, consultants, supply chain partners, and hospital stakeholders—helping to drive certainty in programme, cost, and quality.

About The Role
As Design Manager, you will lead the design process on-site, ensuring the highest standards in technical delivery, buildability, and compliance. You'll engage directly with designers, consultants, supply chain partners, and hospital stakeholders—helping to drive certainty in programme, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development and coordination of design information from inception to handover
- Ensure design outputs align with programme milestones, construction sequencing, and MMC methodologies
- Lead design reviews, manage technical queries, and proactively resolve design challenges
- Support the appointment and management of designers, monitoring scope and performance
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused culture within the project team and wider stakeholder network
- Degree-qualified in architecture, engineering (civil, structural, MEP), or a related field
- Solid design management experience on major healthcare, infrastructure, or complex building projects
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to influence positive outcomes
- Understanding of DfMA and digital delivery is a plus
- Collaborative approach and a drive to deliver high-quality, people-first spaces
- Play a key role on a flagship healthcare project with long-term societal value
