As a UK-based integral part of BEMO's international tunnel design team, headquartered in Innsbruck (Austria), you will act as the local representative of our engineering excellence. In this pivotal position, you will contribute to the design and delivery of underground structures in the UK, with direct technical support from our main office. Close collaboration with our UK construction teams ensures a seamless connection between design and execution.

Tasks
- Leading the design related communication between all parties involved.
- Writing reports and specifications to communicate design and construction principles and processes with clients, owners and third parties.
- Review and carry out internal design checks
- Approve and sign off design
- Providing constructability review
- Excellent English language, organisation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of national (UK) design standards and guidelines relevant for tunnelling
- Knowledge of design approval process in the UK
- Working experience of minimum of five to ten years in tunnel design
- master’s degree in civil engineering (Tunnelling, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering).
- Chartered engineer
- Experience in segmental lining design, pipe jacking etc
- Experience in SCL design
- Experience in temporary works design
- Experience in geotechnical engineering
