Working across our sites and offices, this is your opportunity to lead and influence decarbonisation at scale within one of the world’s leading sustainable construction companies.
This role offers the chance to shape and lead our decarbonisation strategy across key themes—renewable energy, low-carbon fuels, energy efficiency, and alternative materials—ensuring we’re not just meeting targets, but setting them. You’ll be at the centre of both strategy and delivery, helping to embed climate action in everything we do. You’ll be engaging with leaders across our diverse business units—from cement and concrete to aggregates and asphalt—helping to turn bold commitments into everyday action.
Your influence will also reach beyond our organisation, representing Holcim UK at national forums, industry conferences and with stakeholders ranging from customers and suppliers to regulatory bodies. This is more than a technical role—it’s about leadership, influence, and making change happen.
Leading the delivery of Holcim UK’s Net Zero Strategy, aligning teams and activities with our science-based targets.
Driving decarbonisation across our business units, with a focus on tangible action and measurable impact.
Supporting ESG and climate-related reporting, providing insights to ensure we meet our commitments and stay ahead of emerging standards.
Building collaborative relationships across the business—helping teams connect the dots between sustainability and operations.
Representing Holcim externally as a thought leader, speaker, and trusted voice in the sustainability space.
Who you are
You’re an experienced sustainability professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy and implementation. You understand what it takes to decarbonise a complex, multi-faceted business—and you’re energised by the challenge.
You bring with you:
A strong grounding in climate change mitigation and decarbonisation, likely with a scientific background and experience in industry or consultancy.
A proven ability to translate climate data and frameworks into commercially sound, actionable plans.
Confidence presenting ideas to senior stakeholders, external partners, and technical or non-technical audiences alike.
A hands-on mindset—you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are setting long-term vision.
A natural collaborator with high emotional intelligence, able to build trusted relationships across teams and sectors.
Strong project management skills, balancing strategic priorities with real-world delivery.
You take pride in challenging the status quo, inspiring others to act, and being a catalyst for positive change.
We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
