Data Visualisation Specialist

Circa £500 per day - Outside IR35

6 month contract initially

UK - Fully remote

My client is an organisation specialising in the carbon credit marketplace. Their mission is to streamline, enhance, and expedite international initiatives aimed at the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Through their efforts, they are committed to fostering a sustainable future by providing both enterprises and individuals the means to offset their carbon footprint in a manner that is both

transparent and efficient.

They're seeking an experienced Data Visualisation Specialist to join the Analytics team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data visualisation solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights. You will work closely with a team of data scientists, engineers, and energy experts to create dashboards, reports, and interactive visualisations that facilitate decision making.

This individual should have a strong background in data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js, and be proficient in programming languages such as Python or R. Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark is a plus. You should also have a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector and be able to communicate complex data in an easily understandable manner.

Responsibilities

  • As a Data Visualisation Specialist, design and implement data visualisation solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js.
  • As a key member of the Analytics team, collaborate with data scientists to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Responsible for developing custom dashboards and reports for various stakeholders, including executives and clients.
  • As a data analyst, conduct data analysis using programming languages like Python or R.
  • Responsible for working closely with the engineering team to integrate data visualisation into our analytics platform.
  • As a compliance monitor, ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for training team members and clients on how to interpret visual data representations.
  • As a trend analyst, keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data visualisation

Requirements

  • As a Data Visualization Specialist, 7+ years of experience in data visualization or a related field is required.
  • Responsible for strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
  • As a programmer, experience with languages such as Python or R is essential.
  • Responsible for familiarity with machine learning algorithms and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • A deep understanding of the renewable energy sector is a must.
