The role…
The role of Data Science Manager is very important to us.
You’ll be working in our Group Data Science team, based at our global head office in Crewe, Cheshire. This is an office-based role, so you will need to be comfortable with travelling to Crewe each day.
The Data Science team’s main objective is to provide valuable insights that positively impact key business objectives across Radius, such as improving sales conversion and reducing customer churn.
These insights are delivered by developing predictive models and analytical solutions while collaborating with internal business stakeholders.
The role reports to our Head of Group Data Science and will carry plenty of opportunity for future career progression as we continue our exciting journey of growth.
Your Responsibilities Will Include…
You will play a major role in helping us achieving our data science objectives, through the following activities:

Your Responsibilities Will Include…
You will play a major role in helping us achieving our data science objectives, through the following activities:
- Leading data science projects and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, to provide a high level of impact to the Radius group.
- Managing a diverse range of initiatives for all of Radius’ business units - Fuel, Telematics, Telecoms, Insurance, Vehicle Solutions, EV, and Energy.
- Working with the data scientists and analysts in the team to provide insights that aid strategic decision-making for sales, marketing, credit, and customer functions.
- Helping us to deliver targeted marketing campaigns and high-propensity sales pipeline for key business units on Salesforce CRM
You’ll be a Data Scientist with proven experience in a commercial business setting.
Your Background And Knowledge Should Include
- Prior experience of leading a team (min. 1 year)
- Passion for driving business impact through data and insights.
- Project management and stakeholder management experience (min. 3 years)
- Proven experience with Python and SQL for Data Analysis and Data Science (min. 3 years)
- Ability to communicate findings through presentations and dashboards.
- Good knowledge of statistics and applied mathematics
- Good organisation and time-management skills
