At Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, the Staked team, now part of Kraken Institutional since Kraken's acquisition in December 2021, specializes in enabling non-custodial staking solutions tailored for institutional clients. Staked offers staking services across 40+ proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchains, managing billions in delegated assets. Trusted by top investors and cryptocurrency exchanges, Staked ensures optimal staking rewards.

As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in extracting and organizing data from various blockchains preparing it for downstream analysis. Your work will maintain our high standards for data integrity and support our mission to deliver top-notch staking solutions to institutional clients. The opportunity

  • Extract and organize data from multiple blockchains using RPC, API, or smart contract calls
  • Develop and maintain the software stack for collecting and indexing transaction data for efficient consumption
  • Maintain a reliable API to provide comprehensive account histories and ensure data is auditable and meets SLAs
  • Track and monitor public blockchain sources and find necessary data for analysis
  • Document data extraction processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow

Skills You Should HODL

  • 3-5+ years of experience with Python and SQL, in data-intensive environments
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other elements of our tech stack such as Typescript, Python, Rust, SQL, AWS Athena, and Apache Airflow
  • Strong experience with software engineering principles, code readability, and testing
  • Experience with SQL databases and query performance
  • Knowledge of basic web protocols and experience with API development is a plus
  • Ability to track down public source code and identify necessary data sources
  • Experience with blockchain nodes and eagerness to analyze blockchain data, passionate about decentralized tech and eager to drive the industry forward
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
