An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Solution Architect to become part of the National Data and Analytics (NDA) Platform & Engineering Team.
The NDA Platform & Engineering Team is working on providing data to drive the business forward. You'll work in a team that has access to end-to-end business data whilst also working with new technologies and data sources. As part of NDA, you will collaborate with Business Partners, Data Scientists and Report Developers to deliver data driven solutions to the business.
We are looking for someone to come into supplement the existing NDA team in delivering significant data solutions using industry level best practices.
Reporting to the Platform and Engineering Manager, the candidate will be required to design and manage data warehousing solutions, including the development of data models, ETL processes and data integration pipelines for efficient data consolidation, storage and retrieval, providing technical guidance and upskilling for the team, and conducting monitoring and optimisation activities.

Your New Role:
- Project Management of demands and initiatives
- Lead the design and implementation of data warehousing
- Design and develop data models, ETL processes and data integration pipelines
- Complete Data Engineering end-to-end ownership of demand delivery
- Provide technical guidance for team members
- Providing 2nd or 3rd level technical support
About You
- Experience using SQL, SQL Server DB, Python & PySpark
- Experience using Azure Data Factory
- Experience using Data Bricks and Cloudsmith
- Data Warehousing Experience
- Project Management Experience
- The ability to interact with the operational business and other departments, translating technical concepts and problems into business language
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Capable of handling substantial responsibility with a practical, results focused approach
- An enthusiasm for technology, whilst being customer and business focused
- Logical and analytical approach, with a keen attention to detail
- An ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
- An ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks whilst under pressure

- Salary starting £61,895 rising to £80,400
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
