What you’ll be doing:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide the data they need to meet their goals.
- Extract data from various sources and produce clear, insightful reports that support business decisions.
- Dive deep into datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can guide strategic decision-making.
- Work alongside the Data Engineering team to ensure data is properly structured for analysis and reporting and collaborate with Development teams to ensure accurate data capture at the source.
- Help colleagues across the business become data champions within their own departments by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need.
- Lead and contribute to engineering projects based on the company’s data needs.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex data concepts to colleagues at all levels.
- Analytical Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and build reports from raw data.
- Data Visualisation: Proficiency in visualising data in a way that’s easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders.
- Some proven experience in a Data Analyst role.
- SQL: Proficient in manipulating data using SQL.
- Google Big Query: Experience with Google Big Query or similar platforms.
- Visualisation Tools: Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio or equivalent.
- NoSQL Databases: Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
- Excel/Google Sheets: Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Power Query: Experience with Power Query is a plus.
