Do you have a background within customer service? We are looking to recruit a Customer Operations Agent in our Freight booking office in Hull on an 18 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave.

P&O Ferries are recruiting a Customer Operations Agent based in Hull on an 18 month fixed term contract.

In this role you will be responsible for the processing of unaccompanied and driver accompanied eastbound and westbound bookings and associated administration duties for all the North Sea and Thames route services whilst also contributing to the day-to-day customer service functions within the department. Please note that this role involves shift work.

Location: Hull

Key Responsibilities

  • To deal with customer enquiries relating to customer units being loaded or unloaded from P&O Vessels operating on the NS & Thames services
  • Ensure accuracy of customer freight bookings when inputting into all systems
  • Accept written bookings from account and non-account customers either on day of sailing or in advance using company reservation systems
  • To ring/email and obtain bookings for any unit that has been received at the port without a pre-booking

Key Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Desirable not essential previous experience in a similar role
