An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Counter Terrorism Staff Investigators to join the East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit (EMSOU) as part of the Counter Terrorism Policing team. As a Counter Terrorism Staff Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting investigations into persons responsible for serious and organised crime across the East Midlands region. You will also develop intelligence, gather evidence in support of prosecutions, and investigate offences.

Salary: - £30,468 - £37,692
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
Security Requirements
This post requires regular access to sensitive material and applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo enhanced security clearance before taking up the post.The material may be of sensitivity to the UK and may therefore be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access.
However, if potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be permitted access the systems or material required for the role and will not therefore be able to perform their duties.For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or achieve the required levels of security clearance requirements cannot be offered the post.
This role will also be subject toMV and SC Vetting. Please refer to the job description for full role requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Running and assisting investigations by preparing and completing criminal files of evidence.
- Gathering information from a range of sources to support action. Ensuring the information is obtained ethically and in accordance with relevant legislation and policy.
- Working co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of the wider department.
- Must be PIP 2 Accredited OR have relevant investigative experience and willing to obtain PIP 2 accreditation in post.
- Experience in producing accurate and professional reports or documents with attention to detail.
- Must have a flexible working approach to working hours and location throughout the East Midlands region.
