Role summary: The Cost Engineer will support a delivery team on behalf of the Programme Partner, reporting to the Project Controls Manager and working closely with the Cost Lead. 
 

What you will be doing:

  • Provide monthly cost reports, forecasts, earned value analysis, and narrative.

  • Lead cost-related meetings with planning, commercial, and delivery teams.

  • Manage cost processes across the project lifecycle, including budgeting, coding, and change impacts.

  • Support Project Managers in cost delivery and decision-making.

  • Coordinate with planning to integrate cost and schedule data.

  • Maintain and administer the cost control system (Contruent/PRISM).

  • Assist in developing and managing WBS, estimates, and control budgets.

  • Act as the primary point for Partner cost data.

  • Collaborate with the client cost team to monitor project costs.

Formal qualifications or training:

  • Experience in cost engineering or project controls within construction or consultancy.

  • Skilled in lifecycle cost management and stakeholder coordination.

  • Background in nuclear or high-security projects is desirable.
