Coordinator - Collection

Position Summary

Based in our Salford office, the Collections Coodinator – GBS Shared Services EMEA will be part of a wider team responsible for the collection activities for all Matthews International entities in Europe falling within the GBS (Global Business Services) team.

Job Responsibilities

• Corresponding and chasing customers for payment for sales invoices due utilizing FSCM Collections
• Allocating cash received in SAP
• Reconciling and issuing statements to customers
• Reviewing customer credit levels including reviewing credit reports and using FSCM Credit Management
• Supporting the business with custom customer data reports where required
• Assisting with doubtful debts provision calculations
• Ensure processes carried out are in accordance with SOX compliance and assist with statutory audit requests
• Additional duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications / Requirements

• AAT qualified/student or similar level of knowledge/experience
• Experience in similar accounting role (12 months+)
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and prior use of SAP preferable
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in English language (written & verbal)
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
• Hybrid working – 2 days in the office per week
