The role will involve safely and legally planning and managing the operation of a fleet of vehicles and drivers, coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries and collections, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering strong communication with all relevant WHM depots to maintain an effective support network across all locations.,

  • Accurately input customer orders manually into our system.
  • Maintain regular communication with drivers throughout the shift, promptly identifying and resolving any issues that could affect delivery schedules.
  • Proactively inform customers of any potential delays, using established communication channels.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • The above duties are integral aspects of the role, however there are other tasks involved in the general day to day operation of the warehouse which you will be required to be a part of.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in container traffic planning including the use of Port VBS systems, strong communication skills for interacting with managers, drivers and customers, previous experience with transport management software - experience with RoadRunner is advantageous but not essential and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook., Strong communication skills for interacting with managers, drivers, and customers

  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritise tasks based on route changes and operational demands.

The Malcolm Group is a privately owned and thriving logistics, construction, and maintenance company, with a workforce of over 2,000 people across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Container Transport Planner to join our dynamic team at our Burnbrae Road, Linwood Logistics depot.

The hours of work are full time based over Monday to Friday with participation in a weekend rota. Reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. The salary offered is competitive and will be discussed further at interview stage.
