This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Construction Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of clean energy and national infrastructure, while developing your career in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll be

  • Coordinating and delivering discipline-specific construction documentation to support installation activities.
  • Monitoring work progression and team time allocation using project systems.
  • Reporting on installation progress and managing works scope in line with the project schedule.
  • Supporting and enabling other MEH teams to ensure a coordinated approach across disciplines.
  • Providing positive HSE leadership and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety and site licence requirements.


This is a permanent, full-time position based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential experience of the Construction Engineer:

  • Hold a degree qualification or equivalent vocational training in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of working in highly regulated sectors, ideally within nuclear construction.


Qualifications for the Construction Engineer:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • CCNSG Safety Passport.


Security Clearance
