About The Role
As an integral member of the IAG Cargo Product Team this role will be responsible for owning and driving the Constant Climate Logistics offering. You will embed yourself within delivering operational performance, support cost efficiencies through rigorous contract management, be in tune with market intel, external perspective and possess a customer focus ensuring we’re first choice and best in class for our offering. Further, you will seek to grow our Product offering, owning approvals of Supplier ULDs, and tracking devices.
You will need to work collaboratively with Commercial, Compliance, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and the wider Product team to develop our leasing offering and associated logistics strategy. Ensuring that 3rd party suppliers and service providers consistently meet required specifications, implementing corrective action to prevent or resolve any service failure you will support us to be first choice for our customers.
Constant Climate is IAG Cargo’s state-of-the-art cold chain product, specially designed for precision management of time and temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals. Whether transporting vaccines, biotech products, diagnostics samples, or any other temperature sensitive pharmaceutical material, Constant Climate ensures it stays in perfect condition every step of the way.

What You’ll Do
- Take responsibility for the strategic direction and ongoing development of IAG Cargo’s global temperature-controlled logistics and digitalisation of logistics services.
- Evaluate and challenge the existing range of equipment leasing and logistics solutions, identifying opportunities to enhance customer value through a commercially focused approach.
- Identify and address any service or capability gaps within the logistics network to deliver a best-in-class global temperature-controlled proposition.
- Manage supplier relationships from end to end, including onboarding, contract negotiation, performance reviews, and ongoing relationship development.
- Oversee the approval process for new suppliers and tracking technologies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of global logistics stations, focusing on service quality and implementing continuous improvement initiatives where needed.
- Act as the main point of escalation for operational or supplier performance issues, coordinating investigations, tracking corrective actions, and reporting on progress.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on supplier performance, financial results, and key operational metrics, ensuring transparency across the business.
- Analyse supplier billing and financial data to identify and resolve any discrepancies, ensuring revenue integrity.
- Lead the preparation and approval of business cases related to logistics initiatives, ensuring compliance with company governance and decision-making processes.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure all commercial and operational commitments are met.
- Ensure all supplier agreements are approved, deliver optimal value, and meet required quality and compliance standards.
- Ensure all operational documentation and processes comply with internal quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate recovery and repositioning strategies for high-value or time-sensitive shipments, working with suppliers to secure the best outcomes.
- Ensure all shipment information is accurate, timely, and shared appropriately to maintain the integrity of temperature-controlled logistics movements.
- Use supplier insights gathered through business reviews and forums to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Represent IAG Cargo at external supplier and industry forums, sharing key learnings and updates with internal teams.
- Work with logistics partners to resolve outstanding operational issues at key global locations, including London Heathrow (LHR), ensuring timely resolution and process improvement.
