We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our Commercial team based at Cheltenham Racecourse team. This is a key role in a growing area of the business focused on converting enquiries, account management, sourcing new business and achieving budgets

The Conference & Events Sales Executive will

  • Maximise revenue and profit from enquiries using negotiation and upselling skills to proactively convert opportunities, creating winning proposals and building excellent client rapport.
  • Drive Conference & Events business locally and nationally by completing sales tasks.
  • Achieve Account Management growth by developing first class relationships with current accounts as well as identifying new opportunities to grow pipe
  • line.
  • Ensure booking system (Momentus) is up to date and all entries are compliant.
  • Research to identify prospective customers and proactively convert new business by conversion tac
  • tics.
  • Participate & host client site visits, meetings, networking events, exhibitions & open
  • days.
  • Use innovative techniques to drive new business across the Group, in line with the overall National sales strategy.
  • Work event days where required.


About you

  • Proven sales experience in a conference and events-based business.
  • Comfortable in a sales and target driven environment
  • Hungry for the ability to win and convert new customers.
  • Passionate about developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients providing a premium service to grow accounts.
  • Outstanding communicator capable of influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Organised and process driven approach thriving in prioritising and meeting deadlines with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proactive tenacious approach.
  • Excellent team player
