Are you enthusiastic about Computer Science and passionate about teaching? GSL Education is in search of an outgoing Computer Science Teacherto join a local secondary school in Poole for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you would be responsible for delivering engaging and informative IT lessons to students of varying ages and abilities. You will create lesson plans and supplemental materials that teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive computer science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
- Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make computer science relevant and captivating for students.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
- A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science or Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
- Ability to create engaging and informative lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective classroom management.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students.

- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
