What Are We Looking For?
We're seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Quality and Compliance Business Partner. This is a pivotal role for a compliance professional who will oversee and ensure regulatory compliance across all our operational and management business activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about aviation safety, have deep knowledge of aerodrome regulations, and excel at building a culture of continuous improvement. You'll be our guardian of compliance excellence, ensuring we meet and exceed all regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency.

What Are We Looking For?
We're seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Quality and Compliance Business Partner. The ideal candidate will be passionate about aviation safety, have deep knowledge of aerodrome regulations, and excel at building a culture of continuous improvement. You'll be our guardian of compliance excellence, ensuring we meet and exceed all regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Standards
- Ensure full regulatory compliance across operational, training, and business functions in alignment with aviation standards (CAA, ICAO)
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Disseminate regulatory updates effectively throughout the organisation
- Cover corporate compliance matters in line with ISO requirements and company legal register
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies
- Manage formal correspondence, audits, and regulatory inspections
- Promote awareness and understanding of compliance obligations through structured communication
- Develop and deliver compliance training and support initiatives across the organisation
- Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits and compliance assessments
- Monitor organisational performance against compliance metrics
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management with improvement recommendations
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformances through root-cause analysis
- Drive timely resolution of compliance issues and preventive measures
- Support and lead compliance-related change initiatives
- Maintain and enhance the internal compliance management system
- Ensure alignment with quality and safety objectives
The Compliance Expert
- A seasoned professional with 3-5 years in aviation industry compliance roles
- Someone with deep knowledge of aerodrome regulation & licensing (UK (EU) 139/2014 & CAP 168)
- An expert who stays current with evolving aviation regulations and best practices
- A detail-oriented professional who excels at managing complex regulatory requirements
- Someone who can translate complex regulations into practical business solutions
- A proactive problem-solver who identifies issues before they become risks
- An analytical mind capable of conducting thorough root cause analyses
- A change agent who drives continuous improvement initiatives
- A professional who can engage confidently with regulatory authorities
- Someone who can communicate compliance requirements clearly to all organisational levels
- A collaborative partner who builds strong relationships across departments
- An educator who can develop and deliver engaging compliance training
Essential Skills:
- 3-5 years in industry-specific compliance roles with aerodrome regulation & licensing UK (EU) 139/2014 & CAP 168
- 1-3 years within the aerospace industry
- Internal Auditor qualification
- Strong auditing skills and experience
- Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Proficiency in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes
- Document review and management capabilities
- Change management experience including impact assessment
- Familiarity with compliance systems and tools
- Proven experience in the Air Traffic Control sector
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards
- Experience with aviation safety management systems
- Knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices
