How You'll Make a Difference
As a Community Meals Driver you will make a difference by delivering nutritious meals to members of the community who may not be able to cook for themselves.
You will be part of a dedicated team providing a vital service to a range of customers throughout South Gloucestershire. Working independently, you will have a regular round providing the opportunity to get to know your customers and build relationships. As a driver you will be able to navigate your way around the South Gloucestershire area confidently in order to deliver community meals in a timely manner.

As a Community Meals Driver you will make a difference by delivering nutritious meals to members of the community who may not be able to cook for themselves.
You will be part of a dedicated team providing a vital service to a range of customers throughout South Gloucestershire. Working independently, you will have a regular round providing the opportunity to get to know your customers and build relationships. As a driver you will be able to navigate your way around the South Gloucestershire area confidently in order to deliver community meals in a timely manner.
What You Need To Know
- Weekend work (one weekend in four) shifts are 10.45am to 14.15pm
- Allowance: Sunday enhancement (time & half)
- Salaries pro-rated to hours worked
- Community meals is a year-round service, including Christmas and Bank holidays
- Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF
- Uniform will be provided
- We will offer food hygiene and Allergen training if required

- It is essential that you have a full driving license for this post.
- Ideally you will have knowledge of the South Gloucestershire area.
- You must be comfortable working independently.
- You will have good communication skills and be confident interacting with people
- You will be confident in making decisions knowing when to escalate any concerns.
- You will enjoy working at pace, able to balance your schedule with the needs of your customers.
