Contract type: Full time
Remote
We’re looking for a Communications Executive to join the Marketing Team at Jacada. With a passion for sustainable travel, you’ll join a welcoming and supportive team that work across content, brand and digital marketing.
The ideal candidate will have around three years of experience in communications or PR. A travel industry background isn’t essential, but you should be familiar with the US media landscape.
We’re looking for someone organised, reactive and results-driven, keen to work collaboratively and forge strong relationships across Jacada as well as with our external PR agency.
You should be comfortable managing your own workload and reaching out to senior leaders for comment. You’ll bring strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence in managing deadlines and timelines.
About The Role
You’ll report to the Head of Content and work closely with the rest of the Marketing team.
Day to day, you’ll draft press releases and reach out to experts across the business to respond to timely requests from journalists. You’ll track coverage, monitor industry trends and contribute ideas to our PR strategy.
On an annual basis, you’ll own our awards calendar and support the planning of press trips and events.
While this role is primarily focused on B2C, you’ll also assist in some B2B communications, building relationships across the industry, seeking to secure speaking opportunities and developing thought leadership on topics related to positive impact travel.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
You’ll have a passion for learning about the world and a keen interest in responsible travel.
Being able to work in a team is essential, but it’s also important to work independently, show initiative, and bring new ideas to the table.
Highly organised, you should be able to multitask and prioritise work effectively, communicating regularly with colleagues.
We are a fast-growing company, so the ideal candidate will also be able embrace change and new challenges.
What To Expect
We’re a bespoke travel company specialised in creating seamless, luxury journeys around the world, primarily for US guests.
At Jacada we’ve created a positive and collaborative environment where people are trusted and encouraged to work autonomously, put their own stamp on things, and experiment with new ideas.
While we have a lovely office in London and some of us work days from there regularly, the marketing team is mostly remote. This role is open to remote applications.
Beyond the workplace, we’re on a quest to uplift the world through travel and leave a positive impact wherever we go. Joining Jacada means being part of a group of travellers who are passionate about conservation, sustainability and cultivating authentic connections among diverse people across the globe. Now part of Wilderness, we’re contributing to their work supporting community empowerment, education and conservation across some of the most important ecosystems in the world.
