About The Role
Hounslow’s Joint Children’s Commissioning Team has a wide remit with responsibility for a range of health and social care services. This post will support the commissioning of services for children and young people and will provide a key source of organisational support to the team.
This post is pivotal in ensuring the effective execution of contracts and informed decision-making within the team. The post holder has a critical part in maintaining transparency, accountability, and stakeholder satisfaction. Working alongside our health partners, this post will be delivering a variety of tasks from contract monitoring, manging funding requests, and providing crucial administrative support. This post is an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills around communication, management, and data monitoring.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The purpose of the Joint Children’s Commissioning Team is to plan, procure, and oversee the delivery of services for children and young people within Hounslow. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met effectively, and that services are designed and delivered in a coordinated and integrated manner with health partners.
The team aims to support the overall well-being of residents by coordinating and improving services for children and young people. Through collaboration, community engagement, and a focus on prevention, residents can experience a more supportive and effective system of care for their children.
In a Joint Children’s Commissioning Team, various roles contribute to the planning, procurement, and delivery of services for children and young people. The team plays a crucial part in achieving the team's overarching goal of improving outcomes for children and young people by planning, coordinating, and overseeing the delivery of effective and integrated services. Some roles in the team include commissioning managers, key workers, placement officers, and project managers.
