The Commercial Operations Team, part of the newly formed Vendor and Cloud Alliance structure, plays a key role in managing and engaging with Softcat's top vendor partners. Focused on fostering strong relationships, the team ensures optimal partnerships through a consistent, proactive, and collaborative approach. By working closely with Softcat's top vendors and internal departments to align objectives, the team drives mutual growth in three key commercial priority areas. As the foundation of Softcat's strategic partnerships, the Commercial Operations Team ensures accurate reporting, seamless collaboration, and sustained growth.

Enhance the operational efficiency and provide support to Commercial Operations Management Team
As the Commercial Operations Team Lead, you will provide strategic support to the Commercial Operations Senior Manager and the wider Commercial Operations team. You will focus on enhancing operational efficiency in three key areas: rebates, marketing development funds, and funded heads, while also assisting with internal and external audit support. In this role, you will manage a team of four, with opportunities for expansion, guiding their professional growth and ensuring success in their individual areas of alignment.

As the Commercial Operations Team Lead, you will provide strategic support to the Commercial Operations Senior Manager and the wider Commercial Operations team. You will focus on enhancing operational efficiency in three key areas: rebates, marketing development funds, and funded heads, while also assisting with internal and external audit support. In this role, you will manage a team of four, with opportunities for expansion, guiding their professional growth and ensuring success in their individual areas of alignment.
As a Commercial Operations Team Lead, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing your team workload and their development
- Being a subject matter expert in our vendor offerings as well as key priority areas
- Monthly income reconciliation and data management and support with internal & external audit processes
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and challenging the processes
- Supporting with ongoing operational projects to continue to drive best practice and operational efficiencies
- Identifying and implementing new priority and project areas
- Delivering sales enablement & communications at various stakeholder levels
- Supporting with escalations and hosting internal and external team meetings
- Be able to operate at a senior level and have an ability to form strong relationships at different stakeholder levels
- Proactive and self driven with a strategic approach to develop business
- Excellent Communication skills and be able to present
- Proven experience in a mentoring or management role is desirable
- An appetite to learn and take on new challenges

- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
