We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Highways business.

Working with the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager has full accountability for the successful delivery of the business. This includes the full range of business activities from business development, work winning, staff resource and development, project or framework delivery, client and subcontractor relationships to external representation of VolkerHighways in particular providing a high level of commercial and contractual support to the business.

About You

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or alternatively a degree in building / construction or civils engineering and relevant experience obtained within the Construction Industry as a Quantity Surveyor for a substantial period if time
  • An ability to identify problems and build relationships in order to resolve complex & / or ambiguous issues
  • Ideally having experience in street lighting or HTMC – small value high volume works
  • An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
