Location: Newbury or Farnborough + *Hybrid

What You’ll Do

This role is part of the VBSE Finance Team and is an important role in enabling a high growth area of the business to operate at pace while maintaining financial governance objectives. Would suit part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA) or someone willing to learn.

Main responsibilities:

• Revenue and gross margin budgeting and forecasting for small customers. Regularly updating quarterly and full year revenue and gross margin forecasts, ensuring action plans are in place with VBSE sales and delivery teams to achieve budget expectations
• Revenue recognition- Ensuring accounting policies are adhered to and appropriate revenue accruals and prepayments in place in line with required monthend timelines and with appropriate backup/justification.
• Supporting the Commercial Finance Managers in the team with reporting and reconciliations of financial KPIs
• Cost management – Ensuring spend is within budgeted levels and any gaps known and understood
• Supplier management – VBSE point of contact to liaise with internal supply chain teams and suppliers to ensure contracts in place and pricing negotiated
  
  
  

Who You Are

Must have or be able to obtain National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV).

• Financial/Accounting awareness
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience of using multiple systems
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
