Commercial Analyst
Working 2 days from our office in Newcastle City Centre and the rest from home
Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) Monday to Friday
Salary circa £38,000 negotiable based on skills and experience and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as a Commercial Analyst
- Transforming a wide variety of complex data sources into clear and easy to digest reports and visual dashboards.
- Provide faster and improved customer and business reporting through continuous improvement.
- Engage with the right people across the business, to deliver the right results through collaboration and insights sharing.
- Using your commercial insights to support business wide projects, as well as offering commentary on performance, identifying trends, root causes and propose recommendations and solutions to problems.
- Using your relationships building and communication skills to talk to both technical and non-technical colleagues alike. Using your skills to help you to understand our business processes and translate these into the right requirements.
- Monitoring data quality, resolving anomalies, and identifying trends and relationships, that provide better reporting and drive improvements in business operations.

You bring
- You’re a Microsoft Power BI and SQL guru, and it would be awesome if you know your way around Office 365 and have experience of Power Apps and Power Automate as well, but those aren’t deal breakers.
- A talent for designing and delivering easily understandable and accessible reporting tailored to the audience and your stakeholder’s objectives.
- An excellent understanding of relational databases, data structures and relationships, and a good understanding of data manipulation and modelling in line with the Kimball methodology.
- A proficiency in cleansing, transforming and enhancing data, structuring it to deliver high quality data models to support optimal reporting through Power BI as well as ad-hoc analysis.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.

We’re a close knit team and while we may be spread all over the country, we’re a supportive bunch and there for each other!
Job details
- We’re really flexible about where you are based. Half of us are based in the North East, but the other half across the county.
- We are in touch and collaborating throughout our working days, and get together face to face a few times a year.
- This as a full time role, but we are flexible about the detail of your working hours and open to agreeing a work pattern with you.
- You’ll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we’re ok with that!
