Fairport Tunnelling Technologies (FTT) became a newly established division of Fairport Engineering Limited in 2021. Fairport Engineering Limited have now been acquired by pxGroup and as a result FTT has now become pxFairport.

We are an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates and ports. With long standing industry expertise, our recent history includes successfully delivering projects in the UK, Europe and Asian markets.

The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Commercial Accountant.


Key Responsibilities


The primary roles of the Commercial Accountant are as follows:

  • The production of high quality, timely and accurate internal financial information for use by management and budget holders within the Group;
  • To diligently follow the Group’s financial procedures to ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation;
  • To hold a leadership position and act as a positive role model for the finance team;
  • To act in a line management capacity if required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed chartered accountancy qualification - CIMA or equivalent
  • Preparation of financial plans, budgets, forecasts & reports.
  • Producing cost & ad hoc reports.
  • Maintaining ledgers and reconciliations.
  • Presenting financial and commercial ideas
